What if I want to map routes that Start or End outside of Johnson County?
The website was created specifically for Johnson County Bike Routes and Trails, yet it will attempt
to route you correctly if you provide either a Start, End Address or both that are outside of the County.
Please note that it will not display Bike Routes or Trails that are outside of the County.
How can I set a Trail, Pool or Park as a Start point or End destination for my route?
If you enter "Park", "Pool", School" or "Trail" as a Start or End Address, a list of those cooresponding
location types in Johnson County will appear. Choosing one from the list will set that locaton as your
Start or End location respectively.
I want to switch the map to have a different background. How can I do this?
The Base Map Layer dropdown in the upper right-hand corner of the map allows the background to be changed
on the map. Options are similar to those on maps.google.com; the default grayscale Base Map, the multi-colored
vector Map, the Hybrid option displays aerial imagery with the Street network and labels, and the Terrain option
which displays map topography.
Can the map update to show my current location?
The site does have a "Locate Me" option and can be toggled on by selecting the black map pin icon displayed in the upper
right-hand corner of the map. This option enables the map to display your current location based on
the accuracy of the device you are using. This option can be toggled "Off" in the Settings dialog, which is the default mode.
